About Our School
Since 1996, Steppin Out Dance Studio has been proudly providing dance classes to children of all ages in the Monroe, Pella, Grinnell, Prairie City, Otley, Knoxville, Reasnor, Sully, Lynnville, and Newton areas.

As a parent, we realize you have a choice between several different dance schools. Not all studios are the same. We constantly strive to provide our students and parents with the best experience possible. We offer a wide variety of dance styles to choose from, including ballet, tap, jazz, hip hop, pointe, lyrical, jazz-pom, clogging, drill team prep, acrobatic dance, and tumbling. You can also join our award winning competition team.

To provide students of all ages with the skills they need to enjoy dance for a lifetime.

Monthly Newsletter - November 2010

THANKSGIVING BREAK: begins Wednesday, November 24th, 2009. Classes will resume on Monday, November 29th.
COSTUME DEPOSITS: were due week of October 11th - 15th. A $30 deposit is due for each Costume/Dance your child is taking (Tap, Ballet, Hip Hop, Etc..) for ages 3 - 10. A $40 deposit is due for each Costume/Dance for ages 11 and up and competition dancers. These are only deposits and balances will be due in December!
** PLEASE CHECK THAT YOUR CHILD HAS THE CORRECT SHOES FOR CLASS AND THAT THEY FIT. Several dancers are missing shoes or not wearing them because they are too small. If you need to order shoes - please let the instructor know. Thanks! I have about 5 single hip hop shoes left from recital last year - are you missing one????
TUITION FEES: are due by the first of the month. There is a grace period of 10 days. Fees paid after the 10th of the month are subject to a late fee of $5. Please check to see if your account is current. NOTE: If a child's name is different than the parent - please note this on the check.
*If you have not paid the registration fee - it is OVER DUE! Please check at the desk. Thanks!
FUNDRAISERS: The butter braid fundraiser needs to be picked up at the Pella studio on Tuesday, November 9th between 5:00 - 6:00 pm. The Grinnell & Sully studio on Tuesday, November 16th between 5:00 - 7:00 pm and the Monroe studio Wednesday, November 17th between 5:00 - 7:00 pm. These are a frozen items please pick them up as we do not have freezer space!!!! The Party Time fundraiser will be delivered in December and a notice will be sent out on the December newsletter.
*STEPPIN OUT FUN*: It is time for preparing Costumes and accessories! All dancers get to be creative again and design their own Recital Costume! We will have a dancer for you to design it on if you would like - please pick one up at the desk or with your instructor. We will choose winners in ages 3 - 8 & 9 and up. Be creative and have fun!!!! You may turn in your costumes with your name and age on it to your instructor or the front desk. All costumes will be displayed at the studios.
